Whether you’re 2 or 20 weeks into your pregnancy, there’s some simple math you can perform to confidently know around the time you conceived. 

On average, there are two-to-three days when you ovulate – the time when your body can get pregnant – each menstrual cycle. This occurs about two weeks after your last period started.

Remember, this is just a rough estimate. Every woman’s menstrual cycle and ovulation window are unique. Some women ovulate longer, while others may ovulate earlier or later in their cycle.

Additionally, having sex before the ovulation window can still result in pregnancy, as sperm can survive up to five days, potentially fertilizing an egg once ovulation occurs.

Another way to determine the conception date is through an ultrasound. Since fetuses grow at a consistent rate, the age of the fetus can be measured accurately, making an ultrasound a more precise method than an ovulation calculator for estimating conception date.
